What's the story?
Jables Fables is an adventure game set in the land of Verdant. Verdant is a magical world divided into five distinct realms - Ice, Fire, Desert, Jungle, and Grassland - each with their own unique landscapes and inhabitants. These realms are ruled by the Mage-King, a powerful mage with the ability to control the elements and maintain balance between the realms, and his five loyal advisors - the council of mages. Despite the peace maintained by the Mage-King, some resentment has grown among the races towards his rule, and with the recent uncovering of Last Gem of Bruth'tanuug, ending the conflicts that have plagued Verdant for centuries might no longer be a dream...
Mechanics
Verdant offers a rich and immersive gameplay experience, combining elements of fighting, trading, guilds, quests, travel, and adventure. Players can engage in battles against fierce creatures present in the different realms, and also participate in trade, acquiring goods and resources, or outsource the job and setup their own trade routes and trading empire, or just venture out on quests. There are many guilds in the land of Verdant to join, offering a variety of different quests to embark on. Traveling through the vast and diverse landscapes of Verdant will lead players on adventures, with five different biomes to explore which each offer their unique experiences.
Micro and Macro
In Jables Fables there are micro and macro views. When going between towns, we get a macro view of the world, and all surroundings. However when entering towns or combat, you get a micro view, where the graphic style changes and the controls change to a more familiar 3D style.
