What's the story?
In Rock and Scroll you follow Sisyphus who is now cursed to be the very boulder he pushed up the mountain, as he tries to outwit the gods one last time in this literal side scroller platform game.
Embark on a journey where a cursed soul steers a boulder through the ages. Condemned by gods to an eternal ascent, navigate through times shrouded in mystery. Craft your path, solve puzzles, and uncover the secrets hidden within the stone.
Scroll to Move, Click to Jump—Simple? Think Again.
Unlike other platforms, you scroll to move and click to jump. Sounds easy, right? Well, if you're using a trackpad, good luck—you're basically doomed.
Master the art of scrolling as you fumble your way through history, desperately trying to time each jump just right. Difficulty modes range from Easy - with training wheels like quick save and a jump indicator - to iron man where you'll only have one life throughout the whole game. Oh, and there's a floor is lava mode, so have fun with that.
For those who've truly mastered the movement, there's a built-in speed run timer, perfect for proving to your parents that all those hours weren’t a complete waste. Who knows? Maybe they will even put it on the fridge.
New Eras, New Rules, Same Pain
Each level introduces a new mechanic designed either to ruin your day. One moment you're dealing with inverted scroll controls, the next you're stuck in a time period where gravity changes direction at random, each era brings its own flavour of torment. Just when you think you’ve mastered the controls, the game finds a new way to mess with you.
